Faster, healthier hair growth, Plz help D:?

Please dont suggest any pills, but vitamins are okay. %26amp;%26amp; what foods provide loads of these vitamins, what shampoos and oils i can use. I am african american and Japanese but i have mixed hair so its fairly easy to do. i would like to grow at least 3 in over the summer. please suggest, thx :DFaster, healthier hair growth, Plz help D:?
You can take Biotin vitamins. Some people disagree that Biotin doesn't work for growth and only makes hair healthier but Biotin is necessary for cell growth which improves hair, nail and skin. About how much growth, that would depend on your deficiency (if any) of biotin in your body and how well the intake of Biotin is being absorbed. Remember that if your taking medications or OTC medications you need to wait at least 2 hours before taking the vitamin or it will not be absorbed.

Foods that contain biotin are: almonds, eggs, onions, cabbage, cucumber, cauliflower, goat's milk, cow's milk, raspberries, strawberries, halibut, oats, walnuts, liver, legume, soybeans, swiss chard, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, and carrots.

I take Biotin tablets that carry 5000ug (5mg) from Nature's Bounty. They even sell them in capsules that are easier to swallow. Getting 5,000ug per day equals 1,667% of daily value so that's a LOT. I've been taking biotin for a couple of months and my hair grows pretty fast and healthy BUT not strong as I wanted so keep in mind that you will have to cut one inch of hair every two months if you want to keep the hair strong.

To be honest, I saw results by the second month and after that my hair grows one inch per month. Good Luck!Faster, healthier hair growth, Plz help D:?
Some oils stimulate blood flow to the scalp causing hair to grow faster, these oils are peppermint, rosemary, lavender, cedarwood, tea tree, neem (neem oil stinks but makes the hair look good... it can be used in a hot oil treatment and shampooed out), basil , and emu.

All except the emu must be diluted in a carrier oil, coconut is a favorite of many.

Cucumbers and carrots aide in hair growth and so do nuts and whole grains.

Good products to use are all natural shampoos and conditioners, Dr. Bronners is really good, all of his soaps are made from olive and coconut oils (castille soaps are really gentle and non-drying) and WEN (there is a cheaper version called Hair One)

I have waist length hair (after years of being shoulder length and shorter) and I use mainly natural products.
Coconut oil is amazing for hair growth. If you massage it into your scalp every night and wake up to wash it if your going out, not only do you feel more awake and on the ball due to the stimulation your giving your head, but you'll see a noticeable difference in the thickness, health, lustre and length of your hair in no time!

Tail and Maine. it's expensive shampoo but it works they sell it at walmart
Yea you can buy shampoos which promote hair growth but to be honest the best way is just to let it grow naturally. Using products can damage and weaken your hair.
i use vitamin E. i cut the capsule open and rub onto my hands and message into just washed hair but not into the scalp. it will make your hair look greasy. your hair will feel a little sticky until it dries but then it will feel real soft. i use every other time i wash my hair. in about a month it will kick in and your hair will start to grow. mine grows almost three inches a month. never did before. you can also swallow the vit e but that takes longer to get into your system to start to work. plus a trim every 7 to 8 weeks to keep the dead ends off
Well, I know that you should tie your hair in a pony tail and make it tight. It will make the hair stretch and it will grow longer. Granteed.

I do that.

But thats for the hair. If you wanted something else, please state.
blaide your hair and it will grow really fast at least b4 u sleep
braid your hair during the night or if you needed to grow really fast you should get some hair extensions

How can I prevent further hair loss to damaged hair & promote healthy hair growth ?

I damaged my hair !

I permed my hair and approximately 2 weeks later I colored it. A week after coloring it my hair started falling out in big clumps, that's when I realized I mistakenly used a permanent coloring instead of a semi permanent/rinse. My hair has been continuously coming out in clumps leaving bald patches in different parts of my head. I became so frustrated that I shaved off all of my hair around the sides %26amp; back (Mr T look).

Now I would like to know what I can do/use to promote new healthy hair growth ?How can I prevent further hair loss to damaged hair %26amp; promote healthy hair growth ?
I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

Now is the best time to visit a tricologist if you can afford it. If not, stick to the basics:

- eat healthily and include foods like liver and greens which are iron-enriching and excellent for healthy hair.

- take vitamins and iron tablets for healthy hair

- wash your hair twice a week and deep condition once a week.

- once your hair is washed and is clean, let it air dry naturally. No hair dryer, curling tong, rollers, straightners, gels, mousse, dye...nada!

Basically, treat it the way you would a new born babies head of hair. And all will be back to normal:)
i too am suffering from hair loss problem.i am mentioning the most useful process which i think might help you also

use onion juice on your scalp, apply it every three days

you can also use aloe vera.it also helps

Medications to Treat Baldness

Minoxidil containing medications are very effective in treating fungal infections on the scalp and thus help in preventing hair loss. (Check Site Below)

Shampoos to Treat Baldness

There are many varieties of hair loss shampoos available in the market that will not only help in reducing the effect of baldness or hair loss on the scalp but will also help in keeping the hair clean and healthy.

Sprays

Most of the hair loss sprays contain natural keratin fibers and will resemble the natural hair when sprayed onto the hair loss affected scalp areas.

Laser Hair Loss Treatment

This is a non surgical solution to many hair related problems like baldness, thinning of hairs and hair fall. Laser treatment boosts and revitalizes hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles and by repairing damaged scalp cells.Laser treatments are found to be the most effective way to reduce hair loss and satisfactory results can be achieved just after a single sitting.
so try this...regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks.(if your hair is really healthy then up the trims to about every 12 weeks, a trim is just a snip off the ends) if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the growth part of the e to kick in. the other benefits are instant. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins going on four months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap and also promotes hair regrowth and growth. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online.(puritans pride.com or vitadigest.com) five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. i now take my fingers and message my scalp about five times a week, along with the brushing thats a good way to do it without damaging your hair. apply two or three capsules of e to dry hair and message into scalp and hair really well, put damp towel in microwave for 1 min to get hot, then quickly wrap head, a dry towel can be placed over that to help hold in the heat, leave on for 15 min, shampoo well, makes an excellent hot oil treatment. good luck, AND some people will argue about regular trims, your hair does grow from the roots, yes, but if your hair is not trimmed at the bottom, the it splits, get dry and brittle not to mention thin looking from no trims at all and frizzy. then your hair starts to break off at the bottom and giving you the appearance that it never grows. so to make hair grow as fast as possible and keep it healthy, then trims are an essential part of hair care. look on a ruler and check out less then half an inch and if your salon does not know what that is then take a ruler with you, i have. as of five weeks ago adding beta carotene vitamins to my regimen. i found out that along with the biotin it is very very good in promoting hair growth. they were five bucks for a bottle of 100. got them at walmart. the biotin and e can also be purchased at walmart, and adding all this up is pretty cheap to get great hair. i just wish the shampoo was available in the stores, but not yet.

  • I malt a lot - anyone have any tips for strong healthy hair growth? My hair keeps falling out in the shower :(?

I always had thick hair as a child and in my early teenage years but ever since about 2-3 years ago, my hairs been falling out at alarming rates in the shower and if I attempt to brush it (I don't often having slight curls) and am always finding hair all over my carpet!

I've tried a few things - not washing so often, buying a silk pillow, getting it regularly trimmed, even going to the doctor to be prescribed iron and zinc tablets but none seem to make my hair stay healthy so it can grow!

I want it to be mid back length by the middle of next year in time for my 18th but it's been this length (a bit past shoulders) for ages!I malt a lot - anyone have any tips for strong healthy hair growth? My hair keeps falling out in the shower :(?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hairI malt a lot - anyone have any tips for strong healthy hair growth? My hair keeps falling out in the shower :(?
if u look in your local super market they have shampoo that specializes in hair strenghening. prevents malting
It's good you don't brush it too much- the thing is, we shed 100-200 hairs daily, and because you don't brush, i suppose when you touch your head, a lot of hairs come out at once. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about- also, washing it less is also a good idea (I get a feeling people will give me thumbs down for this); but shampoos and conditioners in the shops are filled with harmful chemicals that aren't going to help your cause. What I would suggest is; once a week give your hair a hot oil treatment. Rub olive oil in your hair (massage it well, this will stimulate growth) and then wrap a steaming (not boiling) towel around your hair. Leave it for 1/2 hour to an hour, then wash the oil out with a bit of shampoo and conditioner. The second tip i would give you is; examine your diet. Are you eating healthy enough? This is often overlooked. Lastly, try not to tie your hair up too tight; give your scalp some breathing space. Pulling on your hair causes stress to the follicles. Hope this helps.

    Healthy Hair & Growth?

As a child i had really, really, really long healthy hair. But then i became a teenager and started dying and cutting my hair like a crazy person lol.

Now coming into adulthood, i'm trying to get back my healthy head of hair and grow it SUPER LONG! I started by cutting most of the damaged hair off back in May of this year, to a shoulder length. Since, it has grown to about my bra strap.

My hair is super curly and a bit on the dry side. Is there any advice (especially from people who have the super long manes) on growing long, healthy hair?

    Thanks...BrittzHealthy Hair %26amp; Growth?
Don't cut your hair every 6-8 weeks! You'll be cutting your growth away. Normally hair only grows an inch or a little more a month. Best bet would be to try to keep it up as much as possible (ie buns!) That way your ends are protected and les likely to split. You should buy a pair of hair scissors and dust your ends. What this means is you physically look thru the ends of your hair, if you see a split, nip it off!! Also, try to take a mulit vitamin and biotin... it helps with healthy hair growth. Use a warm oil treatement 2x a week with regular olive oil and try conditioner only washes ... meaning no shampoo, believe me, your hair will get clean. Ummm... what else?? Oh! lay off the heat, try to air dry as much as possible and no heating tools while your hair grows out.

The best thing you can do for your hair is to trim it every 6 to 8 weeks at least 1/4 of an inch. Condition daily and do oil treatments every 12 weeks. If you don't color or highlight it, it should grow out healthy. You could also brush it at night so it can stimulate your scalp and help it grow faster.
out of experience(had the same problem) I'd advise you to trow bergemot essence(comes in a tiny bottle, essence has a yellow color) into your conditioner that you use.for best result leave it on for 30min-60min. trust me it really works. if i don't use it, my hair shows it. i speeds up growth and protects your hair and gives the scalp moisture. you can get it from your nearest drug store.

just another tip try to refrain from using heat on your hair as much as you can.try to let your hair dry naturally, and to refrain from breakage don't comb your curly hair when its dry only when wet,if possible only with conditioner. rather use mouse than gel,gel tends to leave your hair dry which increases breakage.
hi Brittz to make ur hair grow longer n healthier stick on 2 a strict diet wid more iron(dates esp),greens, fruits.hav gooseberry which is the best source of vit.C tat prevents hairfall.N weekly once apply the paste of Hibiscus leaves n rinse off try using the shampoo wid egg proteins wid a conditioner tat suits ur hair type.gingelly oil gives the best texture so apply fifteen mins b4 ur head bath.....hope these tips help u grow a SUPER LONG HAIR...wishes Y
massage your scalp with wheatgerm oil.
If you really want to grow long healthy hair then you can trim a 1/2 in. every six weeks and do deep conditioners once a week and make sure you use professional products. Also, you can use a UV protectant on it everyday. It sounds like allot, but it depends on how dedicated you are to your cause.

What are some great shampoos and vitamins that promote healthy hair growth?

i started dying my hair over the summer and have dyed it 4 time since then and i think it has damaged my hair. what shampoos, conditioners, and vitamins would you recommend for healthy hair. or if theres any other types of treatments that would help. oh and foods that help.

and ive heard that a healthy scalp leads to healthy hair. ive always had some dandruff but lately its been worse. do you think stress could be causing the dandruff, leading to unhealthy hair.

i dont really think its the coloring cus ive been highlighting my hair for years and it hasnt effected my hair at all, but then again coloring colors the whole head.

idk what do you think? What are some great shampoos and vitamins that promote healthy hair growth?
For cheap brands, Garnier is your best shot for shampoo and conditioner. Also try chopping off a few inches of your hair, and avoid razoring or intricate layers... Aim for a choppy look with nice clean cuts so that your hair doesn't tangle or stretch.

Your scalp and your overall health is absolutely related to the appearance of your hair! Your body will produce natural oils and the skin around your scalp will perk up and give your hair bounce if you treat yourself right. Always drink lots of water and have lots of fruit and veggies, but that goes for everyone!

Remember, your hair is made of dead cells. Rinsing with cold water at the end of the shower can't ';close the pores'; of your hair because it's not alive like your skin. Products can help improve the look, because they leave something behind. Try to find hair treatments and masks that describe the improvements you want make at the pharmacy.

Just give your hair and yourself some TLC and a little time and it'll look better before you know it.What are some great shampoos and vitamins that promote healthy hair growth?
Colouring your hair does stress out your hair.

If you bleach it, it's taking the pigments out of your hair and stripping your hair big time.

Try going to a natural foods store and buying vitamins that contain loads of Vitamin B, Silica and Horsetail (and don't worry, horsetail is a botanical, not tails from horses).

As for the type of shampoo you should look at, go to a professional hair salon and ask them to recommend something.

I like Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum - this helps my hair a lot.

I also use a vitamin called Hair Skin and Nails.
get the organic ones from health stores
you may want to go to a salon and get a biosilk treatment or ask them to see what treatments they have to offer. and healthy scalps do lead to healthy hair! what ever you do don't use dove shampoo right now it makes your hair feel good but does not give vitamins it puts a coat over your hair and will future damage it. me personally would recommend MATRIX shampoo they make great shampoo and it really helps your hair! i worked in a salon and it works miracles!! hope this helps

While growing out my hair I used this website a lot, I found it really helpful.

    http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip214.鈥?/a>

The website pretty much explains everything you need to know about growing your hair out faster. I used this website after I had cut my hair off and regretted it. I cut it all to where it was only about 2 inches long and even shorter in some places, it looked horrible and did not turn out how it was supposed to. After about a year of using these tips my hair already grew past my shoulders, my hair had never grew that fast before, I was pretty amazed. And after another horrible hair cut April last year I have been using these tips again. In April 08 it was cut into a pixie like hair cut and now it is past my shoulders.

The best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used is Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo%26amp;Conditioner. I don't have blonde hair, I have dark brown hair but it keeps my hair so moisturized and it feels so healthy. And as for a leave in I like Bed Head Ego Boost. Their products are great in my opinion.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to email me. =)What Vitamins are essential for healthy hair growth? What is a good shampoo and Conditioner?
vitamin E and prenatal vitamins help your hair grow very fast, also cut off split ends once every month or so.

as for shampoo and conditioner, it depends on your hair, but anything with vitamin E in it should do the trick

White teeth- and healthy hair growth. 2 questions in 1!?

    hello!=]

my name is katie and i am 15.

i have a couple questions about teeth and hair.

    okay first of all teeth.

i have normal colored teeth. i used to have nasty yellow teeth after i got my braces off but i have whitened them a bit and they look normal. i among many other people desire beautiful white white white teeth. the only thing is - i have tried crest and it gives me a feeling of pain. right now i am using the rembrant whitening system with the mouthpeices that you put the gel in. it says you can do it 4 times 20 mins each with 10 mins rest in between and i did it 3 times. i told myself that my teeth looked whiter but i dont think they really do. and then my teeth were cold and insanely sensitive the rest of the night. i guess my QUESTION is are there any whitening sytems that have helped really whiten whiten whiten teeth without giving the pain? [to someone who has sensitive teeth].

okay next would be healthy hair growth. okay i have pretty long hair i just measured and the longest part is 19 inches which is about 8 and 1/2 inches below my shoulders. the last time i got a trim was in august and the longest part was about 15 inches. [approximating.] anyway of course i have some split ends but my hair is not really that damaged and i have never been happier with the length. i love long hair. but anyway the QUESTION is- does trimming your hair help it grow? because i want it to be healthy and keep growing. i think im gonna donate it to locks of love when it gets to a length that i like it after its cut off.

so does anyone have any tips for me about white teeth or long hair? any tips at all would help. you dont have to answer both just one or the other would work fine. thank you!White teeth- and healthy hair growth. 2 questions in 1!?
If you trim your hair it will hold longer and not brake. That way it will grow longer but not speed the growth tho.

Vitamins makes my hair grow faster and thicker!

You know you can trim your hair just a little bit, like a half inch without it being noticable!White teeth- and healthy hair growth. 2 questions in 1!?
this is answering the long hair question

trimming ur hair does help it grow longer and be healthier but be careful just to get a Trim also try getting shampoos like pantene that help stop split ends and strengthen hair

    hope this helps
ok!! yeah i feel ya. I got my braces and wanted my teeth whiter too. i used Crest Whitening Strips. and yeah they do sting but its only a half an hour. i just suck it up! :/ but i love my teeth they are very white it works very good. and i get complements all the time. definantly worth the pain.(oh yeah if u do this it hurts less if the strip is not on ur gums very much. thats why it burns....)

As for hair. my hair is like longer than my shoulders. but trimming is somethin u gotta do. it makes it healthier, takes all those split ends away...i hate cutting my hair. but it makes it grow faster!

    hope i helped ya! :]

    Healthy Hair Growth Tips?

I have fine blonde hair, just past shoulder length. I've always wanted it longer but it tends to break and get really tatty before it gets to a decent length, and the next time I get a trim the hairdresser has to cut a lot off :( I condition my hair every time I wash it, and use hair masks sometimes, and don't straighten it (but I do blow-dry at low heat). Is there anythign I can do to grow it quickly and healthily, and thickly too?

(By the way, I know of the whole frequent haircuts trick, but it's not ideal for me because I don't have the money or time to get my hair cut more than once every couple of months really)Healthy Hair Growth Tips?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hairHealthy Hair Growth Tips?
Avoid heat, and massage your scalp when you shower.

Rinse with cold water to lock in moisture.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Well for one try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the

time and it makes your hair grow faster. I;d say massage it into

your scalp b/c thats going to help the roots if you just put it on

the ends, it not going to do anything to it. You can find it at

walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water

to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should

use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it.

Even hot water hurts your hair.

    love,

    B.
I read in a book once that eggs strengthen your hair. You can also use avacado. Once that soaks for a while, make sure you rinse it out. Unless you want your hair to smell weird. I don't think there is really anything you can do about thickening it though. I'm not quite sure. Hope this helps!!!
No, you cannot do anything (by the way all of the things that you have mentioned are myths, they have nothing to do with growth). The thickness of hair is also genetically determined, there is nothing that you can do to change it. Hair isn't alive and it doesn't grow. Hair is an accumulation of a protein called keratin inside the follicle. As it builds up on the bottom it is pushed out the top, creating ';hair growth';. This is a biological process so nothing that you do to your hair, like trimming it or using some ';special'; shampoo can help. Eat a healthy, protein rich diet and take a regular multivitamin daily. Since hair is protein, eating foods rich in protein like peanut butter, eggs, and fish can help to accelerate growth. Don't waste your time with massage, this increases blood circulation to the scalp but cannot pull protein out of thin air, and you are also pulling more hair out with massage!

Do not take prenatal vitamins, despite what some uneducated people here may say, taking too many vitamins can do serious damage to your organs, cause arthritis, and can even cause death. It isn't ';just extra nutrients,'; it is deadly so don't believe it. I don鈥檛 mean to sound negative, but this is serious and I don't want to see people get hurt for long hair! Someone almost always suggests this (even to children and men!), so I thought to mention it.

So no shampoo (including Mane n鈥?Tail!) conditioner, oil, or product can, in any way, accelerate hair growth. Hair growth is almost entirely genetic, and a little bit diet, so all that you can do it change your diet. Split ends cause breakage on the bottom of your hair, not at the base. Hair is an inanimate strand of protein, nothing that you do to the bottom if it can have any effect on the top of it.

So again, trimming your hair has no effect on growth! Hair does not grow from the ends, it grows from the root! Hair growth is entirely biological and has nothing to do with the hair that you already have, so having healthy hair DOES NOT mean that it will grow faster, damaged hair grows at the exact same pace as healthy hair. If you want healthy hair, avoid heat at all costs and get a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, wash the conditioner out with cold water, but this will have no effect on growth.

    Tips for healthy hair growth?

I am a 40 year old female. I normally cut my hair short because it takes too long to grow. But this time around I am going to try and grow it out. However, for various reasons whether it be a poor diet, a medicine that I take for seizures, lack of vitamins, etc. my hair takes forever to grow out. Don't get me wrong it grows but takes long. Sometimes when I am combing it or blow drying it I see that some hair does fall out, not a lot but it does. I dye my hair about once a month and I wash it at least twice daily. What can I do to make it healthy and for it to grow out faster? Any tips would be great.Tips for healthy hair growth?
The medication can be a contributing factor for your hair not growing as fast. You should not shampoo your hair daily or twice a day. You should shampoo your hair maybe 2-3 times a week. Shampooing it this often is stripping your hair of it's natural oils, making it dry and brittle, which may be why you are losing hair. You didn't mention what your diet is like.

Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, take a multivitamin, drink lots of water. Don't shampoo as often. You can also stimulate hair growth my massaging your scalp.

EDIT: You mentioned coloring your hair once a month. Do you mean color your entire hair or just touch up monthly? If you are coloring your hair monthy, then you are damaging your hair. This is another contributing factor for the hair falling out. If this is the case, you should stop coloring your hair and do protein treatments in your hair.Tips for healthy hair growth?
well, i don't know if you use any heat tools, but when you use one such as an iron or blow dryer, it stunts the growth of your hair.

    hope this helps? haha

There are a couple of things I would recommend.

First, supplement your diet (assuming your physician OKs) with hair nutrition vitamins. Often, slow growth is due to a lack of vitamins, minerals or amino acids. These vitamins can maintain the nutrition need to maximize growth (biotin, vitamin b-12, d, etc) You may be short on these either due to diet or medication.

You might also try a growth shampoo that has mild surfactants that will help clean dirt, oil, and bacteria. Awaken %26amp; Replenish shampoo and conditioner work very well for women and men. Loss, thinning or slowed growth can be the result of several things - stress, DHT accumulation, fungus build-up, or a poor reaction to your current hair products. Awaken %26amp; Replenish are both formulated with Trichogen, a botanical extract alternative to Minoxidil.

Finally, I would avoid chemical treatments for a while. Perms, coloring, straightening, etc. can be pretty harsh on the hair and scalp as well...also try air drying with a wide-toothed comb periodically and blow dry on lower heat settings.

    Good Luck!

    Easy, healthy hair growth?

i want my LONGGG hair back. so my step daddy got me some hair growth medicine from mother nature. well.. theyre HUGE HORSE PILLS =/

    i cant swallow them.

so do you know any hair growth pills that are small?

or even liquid or dissolvable medicine that helps your hair grow ?

    thanks! ;DEasy, healthy hair growth?
Try biotin. It's one of the B complex vitamins.

When I was taking biotin, I noticed a definite improvement in my hair and skin. It didn't seem to make it grow any faster, but it did make my hair stronger and shinier. The pills contained other things that I've since forgotten (herbs and several other vitamins), and I had to take it twice a day--at breakfast and at dinner.

Antioxidants are also said to be good for hair and skin. Easy, healthy hair growth?
You can go to the store or pharmacy and just buy biotin. I take 5000 mcg. of it per day. It works for most people and you can turn the bottle upside down at the store to see the size of the pills before you buy them to see if they're small enough. I have some brand that I got from CVS that are not big pills.
hey girl!! how u been?? no im not black u racist!! i just got two more points! oh yeah...go me! i have LONG FLOWING BLACK HAIR!!! AND YOU DONT!!! HAHA...JUST TRY TO COME AND STEAL IT! Shea Cocoa%26amp; Mango Butters

for longer, stringer, faster growing hair

Hailey%26lt;3What products are 100% best to use for healthy hair growth ?
I permanently straighten and color my hair and i use a deep conditioner 2 times a week. Biolage has a good one, i am currently using a japanese one called Phi Ti Bella because the treatment to straighten my hair is japanese. Also trim all your split ends every six weeks. It will make your hair healthy and look AMAZING! :)
    1. Sulfate-free shampoo. (Doesn't make hair grow faster, but may cause less to fall out in the drain).

    2. Centrum Vitamins.

    3. Vitamins containing B12.

    4. Those fish-oil caplets they sell at pharmacies--contain Omega 3 fatty acids. Won't make you fat, but encourage hair growth and shine.

    5. Reduced fat cottage cheese----14 grams of protein per 1/2 cup. Hair is protein, so getting enough protein means your body can spend some on your muscles AND your hair.

What kind of vitamins should i take for fast healthy hair growth??

My hair grew 3 inchs (give or take a little) in one month while I was away working on a farm eating ALL natural fruits, vegi's, and lean meats. This was a couple years ago. My stylist couldnt believe it and my friends and family thought I had extensions. So eat healthy... i'm not sure you'll have the same luck I did with hair growth but at least you'll be healthier.. it cant hurt anything. What kind of vitamins should i take for fast healthy hair growth??

How can I have a healthy hair growth?..?

Wash your hair daily to keep it healthy.. and main thing is dry it thoroughly to reduce unnecessary damage. Use better conditioner every time you wash your hair and rinse out with cold water. Hot water will cause your hair to frizz while cold water will seal the cuticles and make your hair shine. Look for hair conditioner without alcohol. Does Vitamin E promote healthy hair growth?

I LOVE my hair, but it seems to be stuck at one length (maybe its just me because that doesn't seem likely to be possible) - it is already long - but I want it longer :) and more healthier and fuller.... is it just wishful thinking, or is there something out there that actually gives this result? I am not looking for hair products (sprays, mouses, foams, etc.) or shampoos - I am looking for vitamins or something like that to promote it from within.Does Vitamin E promote healthy hair growth?
You could take Biotin or just normal Vitamin E tablets. Biotin (vitamin B7 or H) is mainly for hair loss, although a lot of people take it to help their hair grow. Vitamin E tablets will promote hair growth and make it really healthy, not to mention it will make your skin glow and be healthier too. I would personally take Vitamin E tablets. Good luck =]

    Keep your hair clean

    - wash on a daily basis

    - comb on a daily basis

    - massage your scalp when you have time

    Don't stress

    - try not to stress out

If you straighten your hair try to use biosilk (hair oil) or some of the thermal protection chi products, to prevent split ends and severe damage of hair.

If you blow dry hair, switch to air dry.

Hair oils such as Biosilk help your hair stay and look healthy.

    God Bless

What are some vitamins or supplements i can take to enhance or promote healthy hair growth?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences ';clean happy'; conditioner.

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Henna is usually used for dying, it is ok but it can stain yes..sometimes in scalp yes if you're over using or doing it by yourself....its an natural color so no side effects.

Henna is also sometimes used in those temp. tattoos lol I know harry got a few of those....it fades away in 1 weekIs the indian herb Henna good for healthy hair growth?
check the links below for natural homemade beauty tips to:-- Natural Henna application

    http://geebal.blogspot.com/2006/08/henna鈥?/a>
Henna is usually used for dyeing hair in Asia. It is preferred because it is natural from a plant.
soon to be mrs k is right
It's ok but it can stain..not only your scalp..but your hair..it can grab really dark..its all natural and there are no side effects..
Henna has many traditional and commercial uses, the most common being as a dye for hair, skin and fingernails, as a dye and preservative for leather and cloth, and as an anti-fungal. Henna was used as a hair dye in Indian court records long ago, in Rome during the Roman Empire, and in Spain during Convivienca. It was listed in the medical texts of the Ebers Papyrus and by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya (Syria and Egypt) as a medicinal herb. In Morocco, wool is dyed and ornamented with henna, as are drumheads and other leather goods. Henna will repel some insect pests and mildew.

It has also been used to adorn young women鈥檚 bodies as part of social and holiday celebrations since the late Bronze Age in the eastern Mediterranean. I have never heard about it being used as a hair growth supplement.

eat right, get plenty of vitamins and nutrients, no crash diets and lots-o-water

Be healthy and your hair will follow suit.Does anyone know of methods to encourage new, healthy hair growth for thinning hair?
I would suggest the vitamin Biotin. It's good for hair and nails.
It could be a hormonal issue. Androgenic Alopecia (that's hormonal hair loss) is very common and treatable in most cases. Tell her to read Dr. Geoffrey Redmond's book ';The Hormonally Vulnerable Woman'; (hardcover) or ';It's Your Hormones'; (paperback). Also, she needs to have protein and the right kind of fats (olive oil, butter) with every meal, plus a tbsp of flaxseed oil and fish oil per day, and a very good natural multivitamin (not a drugstore brand). Hair grows in cycles, so it could take many months before any change is noticed. Good luck!
There are a lot of products out in the market, but she should consult with a dermatologist first in case it is something serious.
Over the counter there are many products to help thinning hair. You can try Rogaine, Nioxin (available at beauty salons and supply stores, much cheaper than Rogaine) or prenatal vitamins will help thinning hair as well. From your doctor you can get prescription drugs like Propecia.
Make sure she's not on any medications that might cause thinning. She can try the product line Nioxin. It has hormonal agents that help slow down the thinning process, and have agents that help the follicle of the hair be as healthy as it can. Which in turns promotes hair growth and prevention of hair loss. Its no going to work over night but it does work. I have personally seen the results. And like anything else it will quit working if you stop using it. There are kits u can buy. For chemically treated hair like color etc... and for non chemically treated hair. Noticably thinning and early stages. Must use the system.

I want my hair to grow faster and look healthier but I have no idea which supplements to use.. what vitamin should I be looking for?

    Thanks : )

PS: Im almost 20 years old if that makes a difference.Help! What supplements should i take for healthy hair growth?
Head over to GNC or your local health food store and pick up some high quality fish oil supplements. These little gel caps are filled with (you guessed it) fish oil, which is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids. Not only are Omega-3's very, very good for you, they can help limp, dull hair become more shiny and healthy (they benefit the skin as well).

Also, they sell Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamin supplements, which contain biotin and B-Vitamins, along with many other essential nutrients that your hair will benefit from. Always consult your doctor, or course, and don't expect results overnight; these things take time :)

Oh, and drink plenty of water too. That's good for hair, skin, nails, and every other part of the body!Help! What supplements should i take for healthy hair growth?
Don't listen to these people, seriously someone just told you that horse shampoo will make your hair grow faster, ignorance is bliss I suppose. Hair grows healthy on it's own, it is people who trash it with heat and chemicals, no supplement will change that, you just have to take care of your hair! Alright, there is a problem here. If your hair is growing faster because you are taking vitamins it is a sign that you are going to kill yourself if you keep it up.

To accelerate protein buildup inside of the hair follicle (which is hair growth) you have to inject a huge amount of vitamins. But your body was not created to be able to process them! So while taking large amounts of vitamins makes you feel better, sometimes look better, and makes your hair grow faster, they are also building up in your liver and kidneys. Your body cannot process them so they are sent to the filtering organs, where they will stay. After a number of years this will cause arthritis, then kidney and/or liver failure. This is ir-reversible and will cause death if you can't get another one. But the thing is it will have built up in both of your kidneys and your liver. The chances of you getting all new organs is slim to none, closer to none. So I do not mean to sound really negative, I am just sick of reading people advising other people to slowly kill themselves! Do not take anything over a One-A-Day Women's Health.
I believe that geletin pills help. ive never tried them, but thats what ive heard.

and i use this Man 'N Tail Shampoo- omygosh!! its amazing! it makes my hair super short, really shiny, and healthy looking, not to mention it also helps grow your hair out. and i just love it. haha. you can get it for like....4$ at wal-mart or pretty much any beauty place. :)
Dermavites...you should be able to get them at any vitamin store or a GNC store. Works good on hair and nails.

What vitamins promote healthy hair growth and what foods contain them?

    i know that hair naturally grows about half an inch a month, but i'm trying to grow mine out, and havne't noticed much of a diffefernce the last couple of months. i let my friend cut it. %26gt;.%26lt;

What products should i use? such as shampoo and stuff, adn what should be included in my diet?

also, how can i keep it unpoofy? it poofs up when it's dry. i like it now, it's wet still and i like it like this, but when it dries it goes all over the place. i can brush it down, but ti's still like poofyish. it's cause it's thick, but i cna't get it thinned at the moment. any suggestions? What vitamins promote healthy hair growth and what foods contain them?
your hair only grow a eighth of a inch every month. dont get your hair thinned if its naturally curly i makes it a lot curlier try a differ hair cut to take out the bulk and also if your hair is curly its hard to tell when i grows cuz it curly but ne ways for the poffiness try glass by redken and if your straighten it try spray starch that stuff is wonderfulWhat vitamins promote healthy hair growth and what foods contain them?
Vitamin E but I am not sure which foods contain this vitamin. You can get Vitamin E tablets at Walmart.
Wash your hair every other day so that your not stripping your hair of the oils it needs.

Be sure to use a gentle shampoo and conditioner - Mane 'N Tail is a great brand.

Make sure you keep all split ends cut off so that you don't experience any breakage.

If you have dry, frizzy, split ended hair - I suggest getting some Shea Butter and leaving on an hour before washing hair.

Vitamins such as Biotin, Omega 3 (found in fish), Flaxseed Oil, Vitamin B, Vitamin A. And anything with protein. Hair is made up of entirely protein - so protein is important. Eggs and fish are a good source of protein.

  • What are all the vitamins/minerals/proteins needed for healthy hair growth?

Try Biotin. They sell it over the counter at walmart. But be careful! It promotes hair growth in all places (oh yea and it helps with skin and nails) You dont have to buy the 'named brand' cause they all have the same products in them. also make sure you have a good diet, drink lots of water and prenatal vitamins won't hurt. What are all the vitamins/minerals/proteins needed for healthy hair growth?
I agree with the prenatal vitamins. I was taking them ofcourse when I was pregnant and my hair and nails were so nice. It was the only thing that made me feel good about how I looked while being pregnant. My son is now 21 months and I still take them but I have to take the store bought kind now instead of the prescription ones. What are all the vitamins/minerals/proteins needed for healthy hair growth?
Even though I am not pregnant.. I take prenatal vitamins. My hair and nails grow like weeds. Also, Biotin helps a lot... but it makes some people break out.

What are the best was to promote healthy hair growth?

    but nothing works.

and i cut my split ends.

andy one have any advice on what products and what i should do to start seeing results?

THANKS!What are the best was to promote healthy hair growth?
The human hair grows faster during summer time than winter time. It is a good idea to stop putting heat on it. A hairdresser told me once not to wash hair more than twice a week. My hair grows very fast, but I also take a multivitamin and calcium, daily. Beauty comes from the inside and not so much what you put on on the outside. What are the best was to promote healthy hair growth?
    eat more protein

    hair is made of protein

don't worry winter is here it means faster hair growth
    Steps for successful hair growth

    - Comb out all the tangles if any before you wash your hair

-after washing use a wide tooth comb if you must comb it and deep condition it.

    -don't use bristle brushes

    - Eat plenty of protein (found in lean meats such as fish and poultry, milk, peanut butter, and yogurt, and jello etc.

-Drink plenty of water (8-10 glasses daily

    - cut back on pop *soda* ( I say maybe have one twice a year...painful huh?

    - massage scalp daily for 2-5 min. by doing that you are stimulating you scalp which helps speed growth rate up

    - exercise daily for 15-20 or even 30 would be great. This also help speed growth rate. (dance run walk)

-don't put too many chemicals in your hair. Use the same condition and shampoo every time. Hair often gets damaged when your hair cant adapt to the product.

-don't use metal hair accessories that can damage or break off your hair

-don't wear rubber bands in your hair

    - Don't wash your hair everyday...its very bad for you. If your the type of person who washes their hair everyday....please just wash it every OTHER day.

-Take pictures monthly of your hair. Many cant tell whether or not their hair is growing because they see it everyday and it just seems the same length.

    -No excessive heat

    - Stay stress free
use infusim 23..it is loaded with 23 vitamins..it comes in shamoo.conditioner and leave in treatment..i only use the leave in treatment..but its the best..it really helps..go to walmart and buy it there!!
Olive oil from the grocery department. You can buy the cheapest brand. Be consistent. Trust me it works. I tell everyone. Line your scalp like you would with grease.
I take flax or hemp seed oil everyday. They contain Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. It improves hair growth as well as boosts the immune system, reduces blood clots, make your skin soft, help you loose weight and increases energy. I also apply a few drops of rose hip oil on my hair and my face. It is also rich in many essential fatty acid. It soothes the dry hair and gives your skin a natural glow.

What are some things to do for healthy hair growth?

I noticed that my hair doesn't feel very healthy/strong, kind of brittle or weak sometimes. i used to have a poor diet and lack of exercise, but in the past month or so i've begun to eat a balanced diet and exercise everyday. does that help, and what else does? does taking showers more help, or is one once every 36 or so hours fine? thanksWhat are some things to do for healthy hair growth?
Definitely shower once ever 24 hours...regardless of your hair...oh, and unless you have really greasy hair, don't wash it everyday. What are some things to do for healthy hair growth?
Hair typically grows 1/4 inch a month. Make sure you are getting a multi-vitamin in your diet and enough protein. Your body will only send surplus vitamins and protein when your body's needs are fufilled. That is how you grow healthy/strong hair. You can protect your hair from whipping wind, excessive heat and chemicals by wrapping it in a bun, putting it under a hat and removing chemicals (like chlorine or alcohol) immediately from your hair.

You will see a visible improvment in about 4-6 months.

  • What are some good natural supplements to promote healthy hair growth/maintenance?

I am just wondering what foods/supplements, etc. promote healthy hair. I have wondered this for a while, I know that flaxseed oil is good for that type of thing...but what else? And, while you're at it, if you know of anything topical besides aloe vera of course, that help skin and hair, it would be nice to include it in your answer. What are some good natural supplements to promote healthy hair growth/maintenance?
I find that protein powder containing amino acids, specifically the L-cystine, made my hair healthy again. I use MLO Super High Protein Powder. I also stopped smoking because it made my hair brittle, dry and thin over a long period of time. Look up info on amino acids and if you smoke, look up the effects of smoking tobacco on the hair.

Add hemp seed oil to your diet help. Hemp seed oil contains one of the very important nutrient we need everyday. Hemp seed oil in itself contains the ideal 3:1 ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. This oil improves hair growth soften your skin, boosts the immune system, reduces blood clots and increases energy. Also, I would avoid the shampoo and conditioner that contain chemicals that cause many health problems. They may be make your hair look and feel good but not necessary good for your hair. What vitamins andor foods are best to encourage strong and healthy hair growth?
BIOTIN IS THE BEST. IT IS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER BUT YOU CAN ALSO BUY THE TABLETS AT A LOCAL HERBAL PLACE. WE HAVE LASSENS HERE IN CALIFORNIA.
prenatal vitamins could help. i'm not TTC, nor do i want kids, but i do take a prenatal vitamin as a daily, and it makes my hair and nails grow like crazy!

What are the best vitamins to help promote healthy hair growth?

I am looking to grow out my hair. What are the best vitamins to help promote healthy hair growth?
Prenatal vitamins work good because they have a lot of carotene and good oils and fats in them. They can be a little expensive sometimes though and it may be cheaper to just buy a supplement specific to hair growth. What are the best vitamins to help promote healthy hair growth?
NOT IRON -- that's the only supplement that has caused death in young and old people.

    ..

simply use coconut oil (take a spoonful 3 times a day) and

apple cider vinegar(take a spoonful 3 times a day diluted in distilled water or juice).

    .

this is perfect for anyone, including for a new life on the way...

(apple cider vinegar has more good effects than almost anything else!)
I've had some friends swear that prenatal vitamins did wonders for their skin, nails, and hair.
